About me

I completed my undergraduate degree at Queen’s University with a thesis focused on relaxation therapies, my masters degree at Carleton University with a focus on migraine headaches, and my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Western Ontario in 1988 in the area of facial pain. I have been in private practice since 1990. I have extensive experience in health and rehabilitation psychology as well as general clinical psychology.

I take a generalized approach to helping people deal with their problems with treatment tailored to the specific needs of the individual. Not everyone needs the same type of help. What works for you may not work for another.  The most important thing is listening and helping the client understand the problem and work towards a solution.

I have helped individuals with a wide variety of problems including health and rehabilitation issues, grief, PTSD, driving anxiety, phobias, work related issues, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, loss of employment or ability to work, job stress, and job change problems. Many of the people I see are struggling with loss or potential loss in one way or another.

Only child psychologists assess and treat children or teens so please do an online search for these psychologists.
