I completed my undergraduate degree at Queen’s University, my masters degree at Carleton University, and my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Western Ontario in 1988. I have been in private practice since 1990. For the first half of my career I worked with Dr. Michael R. MacDonald and other colleagues in his practice.
I take a generalized approach to helping people deal with their problems with treatment tailored to the specific needs of the individual. Not everyone needs the same type of help. What works for you may not work for another. The most important thing is listening and helping the client understand the problem and work towards a solution.
I have helped individuals with a wide variety of problems including chronic pain, PTSD, driving anxiety, phobias, work related issues, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, loss of employment or ability to work, job stress, and job change problems. Many of the people I see are struggling with loss or potential loss in one way or another.
